REM Amsterdam, an iconic building on the IJ with a 360-degree rooftop terrace. A restaurant led by Chef Simone Bertini and an event venue like no other.
This summer, we are bringing REM back to life as a place where energy, gastronomy, and experience come together. From high-end events to lively Friday afternoons and long summer evenings on the rooftop terrace. Where the building was always iconic, we are now making it relevant and accessible to the city.
This development requires someone who not only organizes but also feels how a place comes alive. Someone who understands that a tightly produced event goes hand in hand with atmosphere on the floor, and that every detail contributes to the overall experience.
That’s why we are looking for an Event Coordinator who takes ownership, brings energy, and helps build REM further together with the team.
What will you do?
As Event Coordinator, you are responsible for the preparation, execution, and evaluation of events at REM Amsterdam. You coordinate and manage operational aspects of events such as weddings, corporate parties, and dinners, ensuring a smooth translation from sales to operations. You work closely with the Sales Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Chef, and form the core team during events together with on-call event staff.
In addition to events, you may be deployed as an Allround Shift Leader in the restaurant (floor or bar), especially during quieter periods. During these times, you will also handle administrative follow-up and process optimization, such as inventory management, ordering, and handovers to Sales and Finance.
You will have plenty of opportunities to grow and actively contribute to the further development of REM. The position is set for 32 hours per week, with the possibility to expand to 40 hours. As REM grows, you grow along with it.
